Presenting the new set of features as a part of our regular website upgrade. These features are available by default on all English instances on Unity 2.2 Standard version. These features have been developed in consultation with design experts and have also given improved results on testing.
To enable these features for the non English instance, request countries to approach us and translate the necessary content.
Features
The new course box scroller now allows you to showcase multiple courses on your country’s website home page unlike earlier where you could only showcase 3 courses at one time. This gives our users a better exposure to all the main courses Art of Living offers.The course box scroller can also be used on center pages to showcase multiple courses.
On mobile, to avoid indefinite vertical scrolls for the user, the new design has horizontal scrolls to improve usability
Now, the local center pages come with the up gradation of carousel images. Webmasters now have the freedom of adding MULTIPLE set of CUSTOM (center specific) carousel images unlike earlier ONE default carousel had to be shared by all the center pages of a country
In addition to this, a newly added text field allows the webmasters to add a brief description about the center.
Earlier the smart search on the home page could only be used to search for courses, but now the same smart search can also be used for searching various centers giving centers and center activities more visibility.
Maps have been introduced on the course search page that allows users to search for and register for courses in an easy and a more visual manner.
Courses highlighted on the Maps also showcase the magnanimity of the organization in terms of various locations where our courses happen, leading to a better user perception and conversion.
To make it easier for the users to search courses happening in a specific center, now the center is explicitly highlighted against each course (on the course search page) - users can click on the center and explore more courses and events happening in that center.
This also makes the navigation between the course search page and the center search page much easier.
Additionally, the course search page and center search page have been interconnected. it is now possible to navigate to the course search page from center search page and vice versa by just clicking a button. This will improve the visibility of both the pages.
Earlier the center search page had an old design. Now the center search page has a new user friendly design similar and consistent to that of the course search page. This is also supported by Map visualization for greater impact.
Course Search Page Widget on Center pages
Earlier the course and event scroller on the center pages would make it difficult and time consuming to scroll through the huge list of courses. But the newly introduced course search widget now makes it much easier and faster for the users to look for courses leading to a better course conversion.
Using the widget, it is possible to browse through or search any program happening in the center
At the bottom of the center page, there is a map element added as well with the details of the location of center and ‘Directions’ for easy navigation.
Breadcrumbs have been added on all website pages to make it easy for users to navigate across pages.
With breadcrumbs, it will be possible for the user to trace their journey and also get an understanding of how content is organized on the website. These breadcrumbs also give a lot of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) benefits.
The category pages (Yoga, Meditation etc) now have an additional component for showcasing the benefits of the Art of Living programs and nearby courses (based on user location) for improved conversions.
